Slider Block Hash Navigation
Enable hash navigation is a feature of Spectra Pro, so you must have Spectra Pro activated on your site.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to use the Enable Hash Navigation feature in the Slider Block.
We’ll explain what hash navigation is, why it’s useful, and provide step-by-step instructions for enabling and using it.
What Is Hash Navigation in the Slider Block?
Hash navigation allows you to add unique URLs for each slide in your slider. These URLs include hash fragments (e.g., #slide1, #slide2), making it possible to link directly to specific slides. This feature is especially useful for:
- Allowing users to share links to individual slides.
- Enhancing navigation for multi-section content sliders.
Improving user experience by letting visitors resume from the last slide they visited.
How to Enable Hash Navigation?
You can follow the below steps to enable hash navigation for your slider:
- Open the page or post where you’ve added the Slider Block.
- Click on the Slider Block to reveal its settings in the right-hand sidebar.
- In the General settings, locate the Enable Hash Navigation option. Toggle the switch to turn it on. Once enabled, each child slide will have its own navigation slug.
Click Update or Publish to save your changes.
How to Customize Hash Navigation?
You can customize hash navigation by:
- Adding Navigation Slugs: Add a navigation slug of your choice for each slide.
- Linking Slugs to Menu Items: Input the navigation slug into your site’s menu.
For example:
- If you add the slide 1 slug to a menu item, clicking that link will take users directly to slide 1.
- Similarly, placing the slide 2 slug in the menu will navigate users to slide 2.

We hope this document helps you set up and use the hash navigation feature in the Slider Block.
