Introduction
With the Spectra 2.0 plugin, you can now redirect the site URL to a particular page. With this option enabled, the visitors on your website will be redirected to a page of your choice when they visit your website. This powerful feature is very useful while updating your website and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to guide your visitors to a page within your website while it is still under maintenance.
Purpose
When done correctly, redirection is extremely useful. Instead of receiving an error message stating that the page could not be found or the site is under maintenance, you can redirect your visitors to a page that will assist them in finding what they are looking for.
How to activate the coming soon mode
Step 1: You will need to download and install the latest version of the Spectra plugin from the WordPress repository.
Step 2: Once the plugin is installed and activated, navigate to the WordPress dashboard and click on Settings and click on Spectra.
Step 3: This will open the Spectra dashboard. Please navigate to the Settings tab and click on the Coming Soon button.
Step 4: You can enable the Coming Soon mode by clicking on the toggle button as shown in the image above. This will activate the drop-down menu where you can select the page that you would like your users to be redirected to.
In this example, we have selected the Contact Us page in the drop-down. This will redirect visitors to your website’s contact us page whenever they click on your website or any other page URL.
