‘Translate Everything’ Feature in WPML
You can take automatic translation to the next level using the ‘Translate Everything’ feature in WPML 4.5. Translate Everything makes translating your content faster, easier, and cheaper than ever before and keeps translations up to date.
Translate Everything Automatically & Review Before Publishing
WPML 4.5 allows you to simply translate all your posts, pages, custom post types, products, taxonomy, custom fields, and more by enabling the new Translate Everything mode.
Translate Everything mode immediately translates your content in the background as you publish it or edit existing content. This saves time and money and ensures your site’s translations always stay up to date.
You can also hold your translations for review before or after publishing and check how each translation looks on the front-end of your site.
How to Translate Spectra Content with the New ‘Translate Everything’ Feature
After purchasing the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin, download the zip file and upload it to the WordPress dashboard.
Languages: Then, in the WPML setup wizard, set the translation language (Which languages do you want to translate your site into?) by clicking on the + icon. Then, click the ‘Continue’ button.
URL Format: Then, format your site\’s URL from the options and click the ‘Continue’ button.
Register WPML: Enter your site key from your WPML account to receive automatic updates. Once you place the key, click the ‘continue’ button.
Translation: With WPML, you can automatically translate everything on your site. Or, automatically translate some content using the Translate Some mode.
To translate your whole site automatically, choose ‘Translate Everything’ in the WPML setup wizard or in WPML → Settings. You can choose to:
- Review the translations before publishing (recommended)
- Publish translations and review them later (good for when you’re publishing a lot of content and can’t review in real-time)
- Publish translations without reviewing them (your translations may have some inaccuracies)
With this setting enabled, you don’t need to send any of your posts and pages to translation. Instead, WPML will translate them in the background any time you publish new content or edit existing content. This means your site will always have up-to-date translations.
After selecting the ‘translate everything’, click the ‘continue’ button. Then, WPML will start translating your site automatically. After completing the translation, you can see the ‘Finish’ button. Click on it to view the further steps.
Once WPML completes translation, it will show the Automatic Translation Status in the setup wizard.
When you or one of your site’s translators opens a translation job in the Advanced Translation Editor, simply click the blue Translate Automatically button at the top of the page. This will instantly fill in the translations for the content you are translating.
Try Automatic Translation for Free
The vast majority of sites can use the automatic translation for free!
If you choose to pay as you go, your first 2,000 credits each month are free. To set up pay-as-you-go, go to WPML → Translation Management and click the Automatic Translation tab. Then, click the Activate Pay-As-You-Go button.
