How to Global Change the Width Using Layouts
Introduction:
Spectra One is a powerful and versatile platform that offers a wide range of tools for website design and development. Among its many features, the ability to globally change the width using Layouts module stands out as an efficient way to organize and structure content. In this article, we will explore the steps that will help you to globally change the width in the Spectra One theme.
Access the Spectra One theme editor
From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Editor
Open the Styles tab
Once you’re in the Spectra One theme editor, click on the “Styles” tab to access style settings.
Navigate to the “Layouts” section
Within the “Styles” tab, locate and click on the “Layouts” section. This is where you can modify global layout settings.
Modify width, padding, and block spacing
In the “Layouts” section, you’ll find options to adjust the width, padding, and block spacing. These changes will have a global impact on your website.
- Width: Adjust the width setting to control the overall width of your website. You can specify a specific pixel value or use a percentage for responsiveness.
- Padding: Modify the padding setting to add or reduce space around content elements. Customize the padding individually for top, right, bottom, and left or set a uniform value for all sides.
- Block spacing: Change the block spacing setting to control the vertical spacing between different blocks or sections on your website.
Preview and save changes
Use the live preview pane in the Spectra One theme editor to see how the modifications affect your website’s layout. Take your time to review and ensure the changes meet your requirements.
Save and publish the changes
Once you’re satisfied with the layout adjustments, click the “Save” button to apply the changes and make them live on your website.
By following these steps, you can easily make global width modifications in the Spectra One theme to achieve the desired layout for your website.
