If you’ve been using an AI assistant to change your menus, colors, or templates, this one matters. A few of those tools were rebuilding things from scratch instead of editing them, which meant styling you’d set up could quietly disappear. That’s fixed across the board.

🐛 Squashed

• Abilities API: Menu updates no longer strip your menu styling. Asking your assistant to update the navigation used to rebuild every link from scratch, dropping the styling you’d applied along with any search boxes or social icons sitting beside them. Existing items now pass through untouched, and new ones pick up the styling of their neighbours. It also works on a fresh install, where it used to fail outright. Squashed.
• Abilities API: Color changes keep your own swatches. Setting brand colors used to replace your entire palette, taking any custom swatches with it, and resetting heading fonts you’d chosen separately. Colors now merge swatch by swatch, and your typography stays put.
• Abilities API: Template changes no longer overwrite blocks you’ve customized. Switching a pattern could flatten hand-edited or imported parts of your header and footer. It now stops instead of overwriting. And if your saved Global Styles can’t be read for any reason, the theme leaves them alone rather than writing over them. Gone.
