Spectra Blocks v1.0.12
Hey everyone π
This release is all about dynamic content and templates: Post blocks now give each card its own featured image and pull in posts from child terms, shortcodes work as Button labels inside Full Site Editor templates, headers and footers, and editing server-rendered blocks no longer trips up the block editor.
π What’s Fixed
- Each Post card shows its own featured image β Every card in a Post block now displays its own post’s dynamic featured image background, instead of all the cards sharing a single image. Your grids and carousels finally look the way you set them up.
- Post preview includes posts from child terms β When you filter a Post block by a parent category or taxonomy, the editor preview now includes posts from its child terms too, so the preview matches what your visitors actually see on the front end.
- Shortcodes work as Button labels in templates β Shortcodes used as a Button’s label now render correctly inside Full Site Editor templates, headers and footers β not just in regular page content.
- Responsive border radius applies on the front end β A border radius set for tablet or mobile on the Image block now shows up correctly on the front end, so your rounded corners look the same for every visitor as they do in the editor.
- “Edit as HTML” no longer breaks Spectra blocks β Opening Edit as HTML on a Spectra block no longer flags it as invalid. The option is now hidden on Spectra’s server-rendered blocks, matching how WordPress core blocks behave β so no more “Attempt recovery” prompts.
