Spectra One v1.2.6 – Ready for WordPress 7.1

WordPress 7.1 changed how the editor works under the hood. The editing canvas now always lives in its own frame, and a few older building blocks were retired. This release makes sure Spectra One feels right at home there, with every editor feature working exactly as it did before.

Let’s get into it.

🔧 Better than before

• Full compatibility with WordPress 7.1. The theme was audited against the 7.1 release, tested on a live 7.1 site, and now carries “Tested up to: 7.1”.
• The theme’s editor tools now use current WordPress components. Sidebars and panels load through the latest editor APIs, so your browser console stays free of deprecation warnings. Older WordPress versions keep working too.
• Smoother typing in the editor. The theme now does less work behind the scenes on every keystroke, which keeps large pages feeling responsive.
• AI tools can find the theme’s abilities on WordPress 7.1. Spectra One’s AI management abilities now register the new unified public flag, and a single filter (swt_ability_public) lets developers control their exposure across REST and MCP from one place.

🐛 Squashed

• The title show/hide toggle stopped working on WordPress 7.1. The eye icon next to your page title relied on editor markup that 7.1 removed. It now finds the editor canvas the reliable way. Fixed for good.
• A large gap appeared between the eye icon and the page title. WordPress 7.1 added extra padding around the title area, pushing the icon far off to the side. The icon hugs your title again.
• The eye icon tooltips ignored your site language. “Enable Title” and “Disable Title” were stuck in English. They’re translatable now.
